A musician’s ear. An engineer’s precision.

From Stage to Studio

I’m Sven Martin — a keyboardist, musical director, and re-recording mixer. With over 30 years performing and recording music, I’ve spent the past decade bringing that same musician’s ear into post-production, mixing hundreds of hours of television and film. Whether on stage or behind the console, it’s always about making sound feel alive.

As a touring keyboardist and MD, I’ve performed globally with artists including t.A.T.u., Jonathan Davis (Korn), Liz Phair, Nuno Bettencourt, and Chris Shiflett. I program custom sounds, run playback rigs, and lead bands on major tours — always focused on recreating the record’s power while bringing fresh energy to every performance.

In the studio, I create broadcast-ready mixes for television and film — from unscripted docs to scripted drama. My credits include Yes, Chef! (NBC) and Welcome to Plathville (TLC). Drawing from my musician/producer roots, I balance dialogue, music, and story, using the latest tools and plugins to deliver polished, spec-compliant final mixes.

Whether mixing dialogue or building synth sounds, my approach is the same: sound should serve the story and move people. Collaboration always comes first. Originally from Düsseldorf, Germany, I’m now based in Greater Los Angeles, working remotely with clients worldwide.
